Summary: When two people make the same new scientific discovery, the universe often paves two separate paths for each to take. One leads to greatness and prosperity while the other leads to jealousy and self-destruction. In the case of Janos, he took the latter path, and stuck with it hard.
History: Slightly disgraced yet determined astronomer Dr. Janos Rukh recently created a telescope that views events in the past of the universe. Somehow less concerned about this and more about the meteor it claimed landed in Africa at some point, Janos and his colleagues went to claim it. What they discovered was "Radium X", a bizarre element that could bring life and death. Sadly for Janos, his colleagues used their discovery for benefiting society by accidentally taking the credit, and all he got was glowing skin and an insanely radioactive touch. With vengeance on his mind, he set out to kill them all.

Final Fate: Janos manages to kill all his colleagues, but is then confronted by his mother. Suffering a moral crisis and with the radiation in him at its peak, Janos jumps out a window, and explodes in smoke before hitting the pavement.
Powers/Abilities: A mighty intellect and the fact that he's fatally radioactive to the touch.
Weakness: The radiation inside of him is secretly killing him.
Scariness Factor: 4-It's one thing to be slightly unhinged, but when a simple handshake is enough to kill someone, you know you're more than screwed.
Trivia: -Allegedly, this film went $68,000 over its $167 budget.
-Janos' situation oddly mirrors the plight of the "Radium Girls", a group of factory workers who exposed and even decorated themselves in glowing radium upon being told that it was totally harmless by their employers. Cue many dying of radiation sickness and the pissed off survivors suing their ignorant bosses in a landmark move for labor rights.
